Horse anatomy book as a gift for my trainer?
I'm doing an internship with the barn owner/trainer at my barn. She has been so good to me and my sister over the years, letting us ride certain horses for free, and now she's letting me shadow her full-time for 3 weeks, which includes riding a bunch of different horses at no cost. She allows us to take her school horses to shows and we're working students. Not to mention she's just awesome overall...

Today, we were looking at x-rays of her friend's horse's fetlocks, and she mentioned that she loved to look at horse anatomy and would really like to get herself a horse anatomy book to study. She's really familiar with the skeleton, but kind of wants to know in more detail what ligaments and tendons run where, and what muscles connect to what, that sort of thing. I think as a thank-you gift I'd like to get her one. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

I don't want to spend $40 on a ridiculously thick, complicated book, just a simple one that has enough detail that someone who's been training horses for 20 years can benefit from. Do you have any suggestions or places to look around?

Thanks so much!
Show her the Mr Hands video,it will provide all the info you need

If you want more complicated and detailed books, you will be paying more. I just hate to be the bearer of bad news for that.
a coloring book?? is she 10 yrs old? lol

get her a simple anatomy book that's got the basic stuff. doesn't have to be a huge med book.

I'd try Amazon.com. You'll find the best prices there. and you can see reviews of books before you buy.
