I'm doing a project on Lipizzans and I need to know why stallions are only used for their show. The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions. If you know why this is please let me know. Please only honest answers because this is important that it is a true fact. Thanks

Yes it is a fact. The main reason that they use only the stallions in showing most Iberian breeds is because of tradition. I'll have to say that the mare lines are very important to them though. The mares are considered extremely valuable.

people may dispute this. But I've seen the show twice and once they said "many people ask why we only use stallions. the reason is that a stallion has a different center of gravity then a gelding or mare, which is how they are able to prefore the manuveres they do."

believe it or not, mares have a much different center of gravity than stallions. because of this, they can not perform feats like walking on their hind legs because they will lose their balance. i learned this at The World Famous Lizzaner Stallion Show a couple years ago when i went.

The thinking is that stallions usually show themselves better in dressage. They are more natural show offs.
