My instructor was going to give me an English saddle because she was just going to through it away. It's a piece of crap and feels like cardboard and hurts your butt really bad, but it fits my horse. Well, what she wasn't going to give me was irons, a girth, stirrup leathers and a pad. How much would these parts run for if they were used? I know they are super expensive if they are new, but I don't compete so I want some that are really cheap. ABOUT how much would this go for?

my leathers were 30$ new id say get nylon lethers because they do not strech like leather. my irons ran about 20 new. and girths can be as low as 15 used or up to 70 id say go for a new girth thats around 50 bcause you want it to be comfortable for your horse

you never know what kind of prices you'll get. go to auctions, tack sales, clinics, talk to friends, even garage sales can have some interesting stuff. i once got a pair of suede chaps that were used only three times for $30. keep your eye out and you'll find some good deals.
