how do you earn money off your horse?

Like let people ride it .... rent out the stable to people etc etc

Well the money is usually going the other way, of course. I would never do anything where my horse was out of my control or let someone ride or drive them out of my presence or that of a respected trainer. Too much can happen.

But, you can give lessons, lease your horse, go to parades where you are paid, go logging, give carriage rides, have a petting zoo with other animals, go to fairs and earn prize money. Draft horses and others can be used for farming too. Organic farmers need fields cultivated and they do appreciate organic methods.
Unless you have an exceptional horse, making money from it is very hard. If he is really good you can "do" all the shows and get into the prize money but you must take into account running a horse box or trailer/renting one or sharing one. If you are a qualified instructor, you can give private lessons on your horse but you must take into account insurance and legal aspects for this. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

On the other hand share or loan him/her. There is too much to write about the do's and don'ts about this so I will just leave what I have written for your consideration.
Loan/Share with someone who will pay to ride your horse.

Breed your horse with another and sell them on.

Buy horses to bring on and then sell them.

Compete with your horse and become very good and win prize money.

Enter your horse to be on the face of magazines or model horse rugs/tack etc.

Have a gymkhana day where other people can pay £ 1/£ 2 a race and make money that way, you only need small prizes for this as it will be mainly small children.

Give riding lessons.

Can I just ask why your asking?

I hope this helps (:
