I am not going to sell my horse, I'm just curious as to what people would willingly pay for him.
Name: Molson Canadian
Breed: purebred Canadian horse (unregistered)
Colour: Black
Height: 15.3hh
Gender: Gelding
Age: 8
Main dicipline: Working on Level 1 Dressage, starting to jump, absolutely loves jumping.
His story: Okay, so we bought him as a 5 year old, he was basically green broke as a trail horse, and an arena horse. He's bombproof, calm, and very, very smart. He picks up on things very easily, which made it "easy" to train him. I realize that his late start takes away from some value.
He really loves trail riding, and requires at least 1 trail ride a week, otherwise his mind gets overloaded, and really all it does take is that one trail ride to get his mind refreshed, and he's even better the next ride.
He's an easy keeper, and has good hooves, Easy to deworm, great for the farrier, and he's just fine with vaccines. Loads easy, loves baths, clippers don't faze him and he's just fine in a stall. Doesn't pull when he's tied, stands nicely for mounting, dismounting, tacking up, and bridles very nicely. He's trained to lower his head to about your shoulder height.

He's got a soft mouth, but because his previous owners used overly strong leg aids, he's a little deadsided, and all he needs is a dressage whip and spurs. You don't have to use them unless you're asking for a canter, in which case he gets a little lazy. Smooth, but forward trot, forward walk and forward canter. He's good at listening to seat aids. He leg yields at the walk and trot very easily.
He can be ridden bareback, english, or western. He's also easy to catch.
Pictures?

Thank you, lovely horse people! And please, no rude comments, There's no words for how much I love this horse.
Between $ 3000 - $ 5000

you want to include in his ad if he comes with all tack and rugs or not. If he's ever had any injuries.
I'd mention him being properly broken when 5, I think that is a perfect age, i'd rather ride a horse that has been properly broken at 5 than anything below because it means its bones and tendons etc has fully developed before being worked , this means less chance of an injury. He also was broken more maturer, so is a more maturer horse in general. He's perfect, I'd buy him if I lived in America and didnt already own 7 horses soon to be 8 (foal on the way!)
Good luck with the sales!
He's average-looking and unregistered, which will work against him.
He's good on the ground, an easy keeper, and has a good mouth, which will work for him.
I wouldn't pay more than 2k for him.
He is very good looking, lucky you. I've always liked horses that need a little work. I'd pay up to $ 3000 for him. I bet he has a lot of personality.
Lovely animal, but where I live (North Yorkshire, England) I doubt you would get more than £ 2000 for him even if he looks to be worth more. good luck. x
in england he d go for 3500 about $ 4000.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com verry nice indeed.
Wow!! he is one stout nice looking horse. But i would think that the amount of money you could get for him would depend on how well he works when he is ridden and I certainly would not pay very much for a horse that would not canter and take the correct lead I asked for on the first stride.
He probably has a long forward trot because you have to have him trotting very fast before you can make him canter.
In My area you probably could not get over $ 700. For him until you can get him to canter when you ask him the first time.
Good luck with your sale and have him working as good as you can when prospective buyers come to see him.
He's gorgeous! Sounds like he's a great horse. I'd love to have him:) I just trail ride and if he were for sale, and was just a trail horse, I'd pay between $ 1500 and $ 2500 for him. But since he's started on dressage and jumping, obviously the price goes up. Now, I don't really know how much dressage or jumping horses run cost wise. But, if the economy was better, I bet someone might pay up to $ 3500 or more for him. Not being registered might turn some people off but not me! lol.
