Whats your first reaction when you see ...?

girls in cowboy boots, flannel shirts, short shorts and braids in places like wal-mart, the mall etc?

usually my brain goes POSER POSER.

LOL.

yeah sometimes i wear my boots out. (usually not intentionally) but i dont look like daisy duke.

i know it is a "Look" but in a way it annoys me. i know its really immature but oh well.;)

i remember seeing Meagan's question that was similar to this one but i didnt get to read the answers ... so its my turn; P

what do you think?
I think it's slutty. But I can be a prude. I wear my fat babies and jeans and my flannels all the time .... but that's normally to the feed store or RIDING MY HORSES, not out trying to look like something I'm not.

Fatbabies are the most comfortable shoes ever.
I don't really see girls dressed like that much, living in the UK, but wearing short shorts or skirts just looks really slutty, even if you're not. Plus, they ' re obviously not suitable for riding or yard work! I do to shops occasionally in my riding gear (jodhs and boots) and I sometimes get weird looks, but at least it's actually proper riding stuff and it's just because I've gone to a shop on the way home from the yard. x
News Flash: Someone wearing the gear doesn't diminish your talents. Having and using the real gear doesn't make you special. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

When I was (a lot) younger, I used to wear this stuff. Short shorts were the style, I loved my boots, I wore them. I wasn't a poser. I've had horses all my life. If I was wearing a new pair of boots with my short shorts, I was still the same horse person as if I was wearing a worn out pair.

Don't be a judger. That's worse than a poser.
As much as I try not to judge girls like that there is still this little part of my that thinks, "Seriously? You're wearing those? I REALLY doubt you've ever touched a horse. "I guess it's just because people who own horses have kind of earned the right to wear those boots and spurs (I don't usually wear mine out on purpose but it happens sometimes) I mean we get all the kicks, bucks, falls, vet bills and do a ton of work, it's a stupid thing to get upset about but I do. Glad to know i'm not the only one that sees that and is a little upset.
Omg! Doodle you took my thinking!

Ya I would think slu t. As they really just want a "hot cowboy".

But yet if they ever see a horse they are like "eww! It's dirty and smells!"

They are just desperate for you know what
my barn owner's fiancée dresses like that. Cute western shirt, shorts (not inappropriately short) and nice cowboy boots with her hair in pigtails. She routinely wins money running barrels so she's far from a poser.
not to be rude but I really dont judge people by what they wear. I dont care, its thier choice.
I mean it's halloween weekend right? haha
Well, I guess I go by weather they're REAL boots or those crappy fashion "Oh, these are western boots!!". If they're real boots, (ie have mud on them, spurs or look worn only on the inside of her leg) I ' m far less bothered and more likely to try to see if I know them XD. (I have been known to go to stores/fast food places in horsey boots/covered in hay/etc: p. Usually because it's on the way back to my house and I don't care enough to drive home, change, drive back out. Y'all can just deal with my horse-smell.) pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

If they're crappy "fashion" boots I'm more like "Let's see you try to throw hay bales with daisy dukes on!!" (Or ride in a leather saddle Oo) That's just asking for hay in bad places !!!!

The other thought I get is "HA! Let's see you survive getting stepped on by a horse in those!" (Kiss you toes good-bye.)

So yeah, my brain goes POSER!!! LET'S SEE YOU TRY THE REAL DEAL!!! Lol I can't help it ...
i do not judge any one just because of the way that i was raised. I do not belive in any comments that were made with this question. you do not have to wear specific things to be a horse person.i have rode many times with shorts a tank top and no shoes. i will wear my sandels out to the barn and take them off after i saddel my baby up and than ride bare footed. i know my horses and i trust them and i know that they will not harm me, and thats because i trained and raised them myself.

but if i see some one out with a short shirt and boots, ect. than that is her oppinion to wear that. it does not mean she is a cowgirl or a poser. its just what she wanted to wear and thought it was cute. it does not upset me or aggrivate me just because i know who i am, what i am, and what i have. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

i have my own house, land, barn, horses, and everything that my babies deserve so i dont care about how some one else is dressed so it does not bother me and it should not bother you eather due to the fact you should know who you are and not judge some one.
I wear my jeans and boots everywhere even to work. My boots are men's leather WESTERN not cowboy boots. Wide, no tooling, no roach toe, and a bit beat as I wear them in the barn as well. Yeah my hair is in one long braid, but unbraided my hair is past my knees and gets into everything if I don't tie it up for convenience. No one looks at my boots and braid and says "Fashion Statement ".
