I always name my horses from either a mix of their racing name (not gonna happen with a cob i know) or characters from my favorite novels. When i was reading hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, that years horses show names were called zaphod, arthurdent , trillian, slartibartfast and fordprefect. when i read the forsythe saga the horses were called soames, jolyon, bosinney and robin hill.
My cats and dogs are always named from Shakespeare characters, or Greek and roman gods. My cats are Fee (Ophelia) and Zeff (Persephone), and the dogs are Donny (Adonis), Cy (Poseidon) and Lexie (Alexander).
