what size horse will i need, i am selling my horse and need another one i perfer cob types, im 6ft 2 and big built (muscular) and not5 over weight but big, what hight breed and age do you think i should get?? ?. thanks
How about an irish sport horse or irish draught? both are excellent weight and height carriers - have plenty of bone but they also look showy also.
If you prefer 'cob types' look for a Clydie X or Irish Hunter. Then again you can get the odd stocky built Thoroughbred. And it also depends on what you are wanting the horse for. Warmbloods are quite solid although not exactly 'cob types'. If you are wanting an eventer or dressage horse a Warmblood would be good. If you are wanting a hack then a Clydie type would be fine.
Don't go for breed. Just find a HORSE you like, not a BREED you like. 16hh and bigger would fit you best. Age is up to you again and we don't know what you are wanting to use the horse for so can't really give you a recommended age. But 6-15 is a good age. Not too young and not old.
