yes, yes, i know i should get the help of a pro before i decide to do it myself. now that we've gotten that out of the way, does anyone here have any experience using neck sweats? i'm considering using them on my quarab and i'm wondering what the general process is, how involved it is and how often/long the sweats need to go on? if it's too much work i'm not going to worry about it but i just want to know what i'm potentially in for.
what is a neck sweat:)
I assume you show at halter and want a cleaner neck?? I have had folks who had show horses that boaded with mae and it did not seem easy for them. Of course they were show stallions. They would put the neck sweats on and work them what I thought was unmercyfully the sweat world just run off the shoulders of the horses but it did take the thickness off them.
I would think if you have it in you area and can afford it you could have the electrode thing done. They just stick a lot of electyrodes on or into the skin on various parts of the neck and turn on the electricity, They start with it quite low and it soon turns on the horses feel good endorphans and they look like they are going to sleep. The muscles flinch when it hits them but it does make the neck thinner. I have known show folks that have done that with their horses.
