What weight rugs do I need on my clipped horses?

I have a lightweight cob with a hunter clip (still has fur on head, legs and saddle patch). During the day he has a 200g medium turnout with a neck cover and he lives out at night so I just put a waffle weave cooler underneath . I am thinking about getting a 300g turnout instead as it will be getting colder. Will a 300g turnout be enough for him? Also, he will soon be stabled at night so what weight stable rug does he need?

I also have a welsh x arab who will be getting the same clip soon as my cob. What weight rug would you recommend for during the day and for at night? (He is stabled)
My winter turnouts are around 350g with necks so a 300 would probably be ok. For stable rugs I would go with a 300-350g full neck and a 200g normal. That way if it's really cold you can put both on - I've been known to have a 300, 200 and 150g all on at the same time cause it was really really cold and they were just clipped.
