HS Poll, how many of you are artistically inclined?

It would seem from many answers that people on here quite enjoy art.

It doesn't matter whether you enjoy doodling, are a student or have it as a career, even if you just appreciate it.

Any media as well.
I really enjoy music. I play piano and you won't catch me doing anything without my iPod. If I could have it in class I would. I attempt to doodle but art doesn't come naturally like that. When I take an art class at school my art turns out pretty well. The teacher's help combined with a concrete assignment helps me to channel the art in my head into something actually pretty to look at. I really appreciate art and love it when my friends ask for my suggestions on their doodles during class.

I personally know many artsy horse riders. I think we are all art inclined, but those that don't express it as well on paper express it through their horses. I know my mare is an extension of myself and I pride myself on my " ; artwork "when I'm at a show, I make sure she gets groomed perfectly everyday and is bathed/banded/clipped to perfection at every show. My mare's appearance and performance are my real art.
I love it, but like my other hobbies, I have fallen away from art.: (Hopefully when college is done I will have more time! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

I love to draw. I used to draw horses over everything. Literally. Then I began to draw cartoons. I can still draw some pretty sweet cartoon cows. I knew a lady who told me that I should try to sell a line of cow cards to Hallmark. She was sure that they would be a hit. Eh, maybe someday. My sister told me the other day that I should have been a cartoonist, because I am always drawing and doodling stuff. My friends used to ask me to draw pictures for projects in high school, and I always obliged and enjoyed it. Now I am pretty much down to painting items at work with white-out and sharpies ... but at least I have a nicely decorated paper clip box.

I don't have any pictures that I drew at work with me to upload, unfortunately. I do have a picture on my desk that my four year old niece drew me, and it has quite the story and imagination behind it!:)

I do also play the piano. I haven't taken lessons for many years, and I don't have a lot of time to play anymore. I find it pretty frustrating that my playing has become so rusty over the past little while. Usually with a bit of determination and a few days of consistent practicing, my playing gets much better. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

If anyone is interested in art, you should check up Art Prize in Grand Rapids, MI. The festival just ended a few weeks ago, but it is by far the best art show I have ever seen! There are some very fun and odd entries .
Well, I love acrylics, and I'd love to sell some of my abstracts someday. But I'm, by far, amateur. I've never taken a real art class. Just required stuff. I don ' t enjoy anything about art class but sitting and painting exactly what I want, they way I want. So, I really don't know enough about painting. But yes, I can paint fairly well.

I can draw scenery really well. I'm horrible at drawing people though. I can't paint people either:/

Oh, and I'm good with leather! My mom has always been into leather work, so we have a little station in our house with all kinds of tools and what not. I can tool, and stamp, and sew, and dye, and all that. I've made a few leashes before, some coasters, and a wonderful pair of split reins that I love to death. I'm thinking of making it into another flea market thing (I sell antiques).

I understand the guitar (and other elements of music) pretty well, as my boyfriend is extremely talented at it.

I also love literature, mostly modern, but I can't really write. Again, my boyfriend is working on a novel. He's quite the artist!

And I'd love to design a house someday. I wanted to be an architect my whole life, but I don't think that's what I want to do day to day. But I do keep a graph paper notebook with me, where I draw the layout of every house I ever walk into. No idea what I'm accomplishing there, but it's been a habit of mine since I was like 10. I'm a geometry nerd.
Totally.

Art is my life. I'm not going to make a living out of it, for fear of ruining the enjoyment of it, but I spend my free time on art and music. My biggest thing is painting - oil on canvas, but I also immensely enjoy photography, which you'll probably have seen from all the times I post photos of stuff on here: P
I can't draw or paint worth a crap. Even my stick figures are lopsided. Truly, its awful . But if Ballet and other dance counts as art in this question, then I am artistically inclined. I dance all the time:) pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

EDIT-And I'm a good photographer (my parents are professional) and i love taking pictures of the horses. And i'm a good photoshoper too haha.
That's definitely where I love to be, and feel the most comfortable , is in art. I love to paint and draw ... However, I haven't had much time for it lately and it really makes me sad. I also love photography. I'm in a photography class which is teaching me to enjoy film as well as I love my digital. I have a flickr page where I upload the majority of my pictures ... Some of them are just ditzy photos from my phone that aren't as good, but it's whatever. There's also a "set" in there somewhere with some of my paintings and drawings in it: www.flickr.com/meagan_kay/
