My friend has a 15.3HH Connemara X Tb and I ride it sometimes but I always feel I'm too heavy for it:/im about 10 stone but the he seems to ride okay and is fine afterwards but I don't know if I 'm too heavy and squashing him?
Definitely not too heavy. I weigh a good 10 or so pounds more than you and have ridden smaller horses than that.
You're definitely NOT too heavy for it! I am heavier than you and still ride my 11.1hh pony (she is very strongly built) and she doesn't care - in fact she goes faster with me than with someone lighter! I also have a 13.1hh welsh x arab type and I ride him - he also has no issues carrying me. Hope this makes you feel better!
you are defiantly not to heavy for it. The connemara gives it power and it will have no problems at all with carrying you, so don't worry about it:)
You are no way to heavy for a healthy horse of that size to carry you.
At that size, you could pile a few more stone on and the horse probably wouldn't notice the difference.
Of course not!!!
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Horses are strong animals and can comfortable carry up to 25% of their own body weight.
And 10 stone isn't that heavy at all either!
Not at all, 10 stone is not heavy (140 pounds). A connemara x TB may be lightly built, but would be well able to carry you.
No, you're not too heavy at all!
