my horse is a little off?

I recently noticed that my horse is a little off on her front left (her outside leg when shes trotting). Its only at the trot when shes going clockwise and mainly going around corners. I noticed it when i was free lunging her the other day . She had a wound there on the back of her pasterns but we have medicated it and it scabbed over the way i wanted it to. I have checked several times and there is no swelling, heat, shes not pilling her ears when i move her hoof around or apply pressure anywhere. I jumped her about 2'6''the othe day and she was fine enough to jump and throw a buck here and there. Do you think i should be concerned? It is only very slight but you can tell. trotting counter clockwise you wouldnt tell shes off. Her feet are trimmed and are all the same shape and size and she has the best feet i have ever seen on a horse. I dont want to call the vet becaus its 100 $ before he even gets out of his truck. I have a hunter pace i am going to sunday and its 8 miles. Shes very fit, perfect weight, has no medical problems. Do you think its just from all the dry weather and its making her hoof as hard as rocks? My dad and i walk her on the road for trail rides and he cools her out by walking down the road but nothing more than a walk. What do you think it is? Should i be concerned? she has no problem jumping around in the pasture either. sorry for the long paragraph. just wanted to get all the details in. Thank you!
It could be a lot of things. I'd give her a few days off to pasture. See if she limps when trotting out there. I'd probably assume that she has a stone bruise or perhaps an abscess forming. If it gets worse, definitely have the vet out. If not, just take it easy on her until Sunday. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

If she's not 100% by Saturday don't take her to the hunter pace.
She may have just pulled a muscle or overextended her leg ... give her a few days off and see how she does. My horse would do the same thing pretty often.
Sounds like she is A) sore on her hooves because your dad rides her on the road (stop doing that! Bad!) B) having problems with her pasterns again. Does she have a bone spur ?? What was the problem?

Either way-you need to give the horse a few days off and NO lunging. Lunging is hard on the horses legs and a horse really shouldnt be lunged unless they have to be. So dont lunge her!

I would cold hose her legs and hand walk her and groom her and just spend time with her for 30 minutes for 3, 4 days. Then lunge her and see how she is moving. Then hop on her and ride if she is doing good!
As the wound was over a bone their could be swelling and you wouldn't actually be able to tell. One of my newest horses had problems very similar to what your describing. If the wound is fully scabbed then i would advise getting cooling gel or clay and applying it for a few days and letting you horse have a few days off. I purchased cooling clay for my horse who had slight swelling over a bone in her leg and was also off when she trotted. I was ongoing as the more trotting she did the worse it got. But within a week of applying the cooling clay and a week off she was perfect and has been ever since. I wouldn't think there is any need to call the vet yet unless the problem gets worse or doesn't get better. Oh and even just hosing the leg with cold water for 10-20 minutes may help (put Vaseline on the leg before though to stop it getting sore). Hope this helps:)
hi there (:

i have a horse too, as a matter of fact he took off today and i rode him after and he felt a little off, but he pulled a shoe when he took off.

it sounds like not much of a concern. each horse sometimes goes through stages where something is a little off, but as long as you keep riding her and working with her, she should improve. if she doesn't i would suggest seeing a vet . did you do anything that might have made her sore?
