What do you think of this gelding?

My sister wants to get this 5 yearold blue roan paint gelding. I think he is too small but that may be because i like my horses big! Anyways what do you guys think of him? Does anbody else think he is kinda small?

Here is a video of him

His size depends on the person riding him. He would certainly be too small for me.

What are you planning on using him for? He looks like he's ok in a western ring but as an English horse he'd need a lot of work. Some flaws I found for English riding (I cannot tell you whether this is the horse or rider error, though she looks quite floppy up there, no offense to her.)

~ His trot is very short strided but quick.

~ His head is held very low.

~ He works off a very loose rein. (I could NEVER own a horse who needed a long rein ..)

~ His canter is VERY short strides, more suitable for a Western ring.

~ He is being ridden with spurs.

~ He looks downhill. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

~ (In the Western ring) Notice during one of the later clips, as she was clearly supposed to be cantering he took a few big trot steps, one tiny canter step, then returned to the trot.

Good luck, he's a cutie.

@ Lilian Allred - His asking price is $ 20,000 ... I searched through the comments.=]
He is just beautiful! I would think he has had years of training to be working so flawlessly. And bundles of money to a pro trainer to get him to that point.

I guess I'm kind of from the ole school, I have ridden cutting horses and reining horses and I think it would be just boreing to me to get on a beautiful horse like that has been dumbed down to that point.

Also I have seen and owned a lot of roan horses and most of them have a dark head or dark places where they have had a brand or a scratch or scar. I would think that he is a dark horse going grey.

I love a horse that has some spirit and motivation and is ready to move and move quickly at just the slightest movement of my body. To see a horse gallop along like that at a 4 beat canter just looks sloppy to me but I guess that is what months of training can do to an alert horse. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

I guess if thats what she wants and what she can afford she should go for it. Sure would like to know what price they have on him.
SOOOOOOO CUTEEEEE i would so buy him but i already got a red roan paint mare <; 333 plus im broke. size wise he looks like a good size. for me. but it all depends on how tall you are and how tall he is ... i dont think you could go wrong with this guy though
I don't think he's small. He looks great. Funny, I'm pretty sure I know that judge that walked around him in the first part of the video lol. I've judged horses with her before lol.
He doesn 't look over 15h, I could be wrong. Not really all that small, just not a BIG horse.

I'd buy that one in a heartbeat if I could. He is very responsive as well as very beautiful.
Well depends on how tall the gelding is and how tall your sister is if shes young and will keep on growing and the gelding is quite small she may grow a bit big for him
I'm 15 and 5'10 "so I know what you mean when you say you like tall horses!:) I'd say if she's any shorter than I am he's and ok height. He's gorgeous though!
I think he is absolutely gorgeous, and the perfect size for an AQH.
He is divine! I'd say he's barely over a pony - but has the talent and the looks! I'd buy him myself!
omg hes so pretty but he is a little small.
