When I see the pedigree of Playgirls gold chip and see Conclusive and Impressive on there and that he is N/HI just shudder .
I think of the beautiful gelding that I pruchased, knowing his breeding but not that he was aslo N/H. I did not get the papers till I had had him for a bout a month .. He was a beautiful horse and I paid lots for him.
He had one of those convulsions when I had him it was just horrible to see an animal suffer so just form a reining type of work out! I would never want to see a horse do that again
I guess he was the sire of one of your breeding stallions I just can't help but wonder how desperate you are to breed that you would breed a horse that has a N/H sire. I wonder why Hes AB

My horse had to be put down because of his convulsions. If he were just walk, trot and not warmed up he was ok. But I could just not handle thinking that it could happen again and to see him suffer so and wonder if he would die from it. When it would get to his throat he could hardly breathe, just gasp for air.
I hope any QH buyers would be very cautious about getting a quarter horses with mpressive breeding.
Now you have to have them tested and I am sure that a lot of the beautiful foals that come back either N/H or H/H will be dumped as grades so no one will know that they have or will pass on the
gene that causes the convulsions.

MY opinion .... none of them I would want personally. As I don't care for most of their bloodlines. And the ones that do have good names only have a few and that's on the last generation which does no good as it's to far back to be really noticed.
