Savings account. You never know when you need it.
Probably a trailer (or part of one, at least ... ha). My family has one (3 horse gooseneck with living quarters) but I no longer live at home and it's a hassle relying on someone from home coming to get my horse, or having to arrange for the trainer or a barn friend to do it. My boyfriend has a truck capable of pulling it, so the trailer would be the priority.
And if I didn't get the trailer, I'd spend it on going to more AQHA shows to attempt to qualify for World, and help pay for that.
I would save it until my junior year of high school and then use it for study abroad. i want to live in Australia for a semester and it's not cheap. might sound like a waste of money to some people but i will learn a lot from it and a lot of colleges look at that. (:
but if my parents wouldn't let me out it to that, i'm getting my permit in June! i need a nicely used car! hahah (:

Really should be going in the bank ... but I've got this theory about breeding a good racehorse I wouldnt mind having a crack at and $ 10,000 would be a start . I found a washed up broodmare aged 12 with respectable breeding but a poor track record and the foals she's had so far are nothing special but she has the same grandsire as Zenyatta and Rachel, she got passed in at auction for $ 400. I have this dream of breeding a mare with Octagonal ... he's stud fee started out at $ 30,000 but is now $ 5,500. Quite affordable if I had so much cash leftover from my cheap mare. Although Octagonal hasnt been a super sire he has a son Lonhro who was very successful so I thought I'd study his dam lines ... just by chance found out that his dam has the same grandsire as my cheapie mare I want soooo bad .... arghhhh. So if you have that $ 10,000 can you puhlease hand it to me so I can have a crack at breeding a champion ... i've really done my homework! I just wish I had a super rich uncle or someone to indulge me right now:) Imagine a champion horse who everytime he raced donated his winnings to various charities ... thats my dream!
I do believe if it was given to me my conscience would make me want to give the majority of y it to some childrens chairity. There are so many children that are living in horrindous condiditons, especially in some of the third world countries.

I'd put it towards a new truck. I'm thinking of getting one anyway, and that would cover about a third of it.
If it had to be something totally new, I'd get a small arena built.
Of course I say that stuff, but the truth is, I did get given $ 10,000 from my grandmother's will about 18 months ago. I put it in the bank, and spent about $ 1700 on new garage doors. Pretty boring, huh?
A lovely horse with everything I might need (tack and anything for emergencys) then put the rest in the bank to gain (a tiny) bit of interest and probabally spend it on the horse in the long run with food and etc.
I'd buy all the gear that I really need for my horse and get him fully set up. That'd only cost about 3K though. The rest I'd put into savings for a house or use it to pay off a chunk of a personal loan.
Get the vets bill paid, and put a load away for further vet bills

I wouldn't spend it. I would put it in the bank and use it to pay the bills.
I ' d pay off all my bills, and whatever I have left I'd get a trailer and put the rest into my horse's funds.
I would pay off my credit card and another loan that I have ... with those two things gone ... I would save up for a horse trailer:) Wouldn't that be nice if it truly happened
I would put it in the bank til I am out of college so I get more money from interest and ill than use the money to buy a horse:)
Get a loan horse at my barn, then put the rest towards a horse to take to college with:)
I would use it to build our barn, a new saddle to replace my broken one, and a round pen.

Either pay off my credit cards, buy a new 2 horse trailer or use it as a deposit on a Friesian .
