trouble getting used to new barn?

I have moved to a new barn since my instructor left and she was my favorite:) now i'm riding English instead if western and i can't understand it because the group lessons in this barn are much larger. And the facilities are much nicer, but i'm almost missing my old barn, even if the floor was all dirt with 2 strips of rubber on it:) A lot of it is mostly just because i'm used to being treated like a more experienced rider, but now i'm just beginning English and i'm back on the bottom:)

how can ia adjust? i'm not a quitter, and i'm not going back to my old barn, i need to go here to learn what i want to.
It is hard to switch to a new barn .. . sometimes it feels like switching schools! If you feel comfortable, talk privately with your instructor. Explain that you are a little apphrensive about the large lesson groups (in my opinion, there really should never be more than four riders in a group) and ask if there is possible a smaller group you can switch into. Discuss what your goals are and ask how she can help you achieve them. Remember, your instructor's job is to make YOU a better rider. That means she should have a plan and stick to it. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Try to make friends with the other kids in your lesson. You might not know much about english yet, but I bet they don't know that much about western. You can learn from each other. Remember, you are riding to have fun. ..:) Enjoy the newer facilities and good luck!! You'll catch onto english quick.
i for one hate big lessons. i ride western and recently started english a few months ago so i know what you are going through . are there Private lessons available? if so, i would take a few even though they are more expensive, you will benefit tremendously from the one on one instruction. i know i did. and when you feel comfortable again try a group lesson. if you are not welcomed much by the other riders (i know i wasn't) then maybe you could bring a friend to a lesson or two. this will get better, i promise! and once you are a better rider, you will be on the instructors good side;)
Maybe you should try to get yourself a private lesson at first. A few of those could get you past the basics and onto to learning more things with the group. I understand the feeling of going from the top to the bottom ... I've gone through it before. You just have to give it some time, and a chance. (:
