i hate it how people call me spoilt beacuse i own two ponies: I i worked hard to get both of them im always budgeting like crazy and both of my ponies were free and unbroken and i agist for free all i have is a padock its so annoying that i dont have a flat surface like an arena to work in or jumps i make do with what i have i see them probably 3-4 times a week sometimes only once a week [the people on the property watch them] I'm very lucky in my situation to even have one and im so not spoilt i just know have to budget really well

To all the would-be grammar enthusiasts: just because a term is not commonly used in the US, that does not mean it is wrong - usually it's the opposite! "Spoilt" is generally seen as more correct in the UK; "spoiled" is an Americanism. If you wish to get picky about spelling and grammar, do make the effort to learn the rules yourself first.

I've found that a good rule of thumb is if you can budget and take control of your finances (and other resources) you're not spoilt ...
i got mean looks from girls i considered friends at my barn because my parents got a horse trailer, really they got a horse trailer for there cows, and it just so happened i owned a horse. and all the girls would be rude because they thought since my parents got a rikety old horse trailer for there cows that we were filthy stinkin rich and obviously snobs ... i just dont get people sometimes.
Don't worry about it. I get called spoiled to. It sucks a lot, I have two horses, I didn't pay for one of them, it was a present, and a cheap one two. I am good with budgeting stuff as well. My friend called me a spoiled brat, and its annoying, because she is supposed to be my mate .. But I just deal with it and ignore her when she says it. I am paying back my parents for the first one to!
Look - people will ALWAYS have an opinion on someone. People assume that people with horses are snobby and up them selves and usually loaded, when in reality we're usually broke due to spending all our money on our horses!!!

Just learn to block out what they say - ignore them. Be flattered that they have nothing better to do than talk about you!! And remember the old saying - whilst people are talking about you - they're leaving someone else alone - so you 're doing someone out there a favour!!! lol!

I don't because most of the people in my school also have horses. I live in a rural area so it's a common thing.

Seriously let other people and all the ***** above me think what they think but obviously you ahve worked hard to budget all this and atleast keep them they were free. how is that spoilt. if they were like 10 000 that would be spoilt and if you got them new flasshy gear yerr but not. it isint. you are lucky just dont let other people get the better of you i only just got a new horse after my other one had to be put down. i cant live without them. but i am spoilt i musnt lie. <3 i love my parents dearly and i dont care if anyone says im spoilt because i work hard for them i see them morning and night riding him grooming him etc.
