Hi there. I found this thoroughbred mare for sale online, and I would love some opinions on her. I have looked through TONS of ads, and she really caught my eye.
Take a look-
http://www.equine.com/horses -for-sale/ho ... I did an advanced search on her, so she meets all of my criteria.
I'm only asking this question because opinions from fellow equestrians are always helpful.
Note-Please don't go and explain how horse buying works to me. I know the process. Try them out, bring a trainer, trial period, vet check, and ETC. I get it.
She is a good looking mare, she is a 2'6 "jumper and no m ore according to the ad. She probably does not excel at any one thing which is why she has done so many things, she did not run fast enough to win any money, she can not jump high enough for anything but a beginner, and did not excel at Dressage, but they are asking $ 4000 for her. I would offer $ 2500 but not over $ 2750.
Shes a very pretty looking mare - I can see why she caught your eye.

Ill be honest with you - she seems quite sweet and could quite possibly be a great buy so my opinion is to go and look at her - whilst pictures can give us an idea of how this mare is over fences and so on - you can only REALLY establish her ability in person - as you say, you know the motions so if she impreses you in real life then go for the trial and vet and so on.
I hope shes the horse for you - wishing you all the best!
xx
The only thing that really sticks out to me is how she hangs her knees over the fences. I like to see horses who tuck their knees. She has done a lot of disciplines, including being a broodmare, so I would definitely get a vet exam done on her complete with x-rays. But she has a sweet expression and seems to have been there, done that. Good luck!
The horse is beautiful. If you like her go for it and buy her !
wow she is stunning!
