is this a good way for me to ride horses?

i love horses, i draw them, ride them, etc. i am 14 and have been taking lessons and doing shows since i was 7. our friend gave me lessons on her horse for 4 years and i completely fell in love with him. i gave him his show name, and i have a braclett with his name on it. eventually our friend had to lease him off to a new stables, so i had to ride him and talk about him to his new leaser, and so she took him . she was so nice and told me i can go down and ride him and visit him whenever i want. so ive been going like 2 or 3 times a month, cus i have school and other activites and its like a half hour away, but when i go, i dont need any assistence like the other kids do. she may help me tack him up, but then she leaves and i have him to myself. last time i went on a trail ride and i even got him back into jumping ! my mom even acts as my coach haha. its awesome just to ride for fun, cus lessons and shows were always stressful for me and tiring. is it okay that i only ride for fun? also its FREE! the lady doesnt even mention money at all!! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

so what do you thiunk, if i want to ride horses, is this a good stradegy? or whatever i shall call it? haha cus its not really scheduled, i just text the lady and ask if i can go like this weekend or whatever.

thankks!
I'm not sure why you ask this same question every single week, but I'll answer it.

Tons of people ride for fun. Showing isn't for everyone, and there's nothing wrong with enjoying casual, relaxed rides. If you love horses and don't have to pay any money, then this system seems to be working out fine for you . However, we can't be the judges of whether it's the best arrangement for you because that depends on a lot of personal things going on in your life.

However, if you do want to eventually get into more rigorous riding - showing, college equestrian teams, teaching and training, etc., Then you should be taking lessons and spending as much time around horses as you can.

On a side note - drawing him and having a bracelet does not prove your love for him. My horse is stabled half an hour away, and I still see her every day, rain or shine. I don't have a bracelet with her name because I would rather spend the money getting something that she'll enjoy.
If you don't plan on doing anything huge with riding like shows or making a college team, its a great way. If you just want to ride for fun, then go for it! However, are you going to want to make a riding team or go to shows in the future? If yes, then your going to need to find a way to take some lessons and get to riding at least once a week.
I have two horses and I have never ridden them for show or endurance or anything. I love mine to death (mom rides the other mostly) and horse and I always enjoy our trail rides together. I think its wonderful to ride for fun. I think its also so nice that the lady just lest you ask and go for free. You should get her a lovely christmas/holiday present to show your thanks.
I really don't understand why you continually ask a variation of this same question over and over. What exactly are you looking for here? pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

You've got the best situation you can for now, so be happy with it and stop looking to others for approval.
You want to be careful, you have a really good deal but it could disappear very fast. Be super nice and put in your best efforts to be nice. you could even offer to make a deal with her. hold on to this though, it sounds great
Sounds like a win win situation for both of you, you get to ride, and the horse gets exercise.
