I want to buy a good but inexpensive pair of tall boots for showing I found two brands which is better?

Defintiely the saxons. They got better user reviews (horsetackreview.com), and look like a better quality boot.
I have some Equi-star breeches, and I hate the things. They're cheaply made, the crotch sags about 4 inches, and the "suede" patches on the inside of the legs are stiff fake leather. Therefore, I am prejudiced against equi-star.

Either one should be fine if you are only showing but I have some friendly words of advice ...
Going for a more expensive, leather boot is going to last you longer. I bought a pair of the Ariat Heritage II for about $ 250, I use them to show, and I ride in them 2-3 times a month to keep them broken in , and I've had them for over two years and they still look brand new.
I got a pair of used ariats for under 100 and they're great, but if you don't know of a place you can get used ones, go for the second pair.
honestly if you save up for a bit you should get some ariat's, they are so comfortable. Also, to spend $ 80 on synthetic leather is a bit crazy. At least get some that are real leather so that they will adapt to your food and ankle.

the first ones are better, but you might want to be careful ordering online, and make sure there are return policies because you want to be able to send them back if they don ' t fit correctly.
the second ones look better and more durable.
