Theres a real question somewhere in here ...?

Ok everyone, turn your attention to my new profile pic. Meet the infamous Moo, the all singing all dancing horse. He's funny, cheeky and loveable:) gorgeous horse.

ok, my real question, what human foods are poisonous/harmful to horses? like sweets, hot food etc
I would not feed any hot meals to horses unless it is a mash mixture (their usual grain mixed with warm water). Also, beware of feeding apple seeds (and the core) to horses. The seeds contain arsenic and are poisonous, especially in large amounts (ie if a horse is fed multiple apples at a time).

Your vet can offer more information on food to not feed to horses. When in doubt, don't feed the item.

** A good substitute for carrots or apples on hot days is watermelon. It is almost 90% water and most horses love it. Just do not feed the rind.
The following are harmful to a horse:

chocolate

tomatoes

apples (ONLY IF THEY ARE FED TOO MUCH! They are fine every now and again, but cause colic if they eat too much!) pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

potatoes
