Do you have a horse of your own? If so, what age were you when you got one?
I started riding when I was 7. I got my first horse when I was 13, when my parents saw that I was responsible enough to care for a horse and that I progressed in riding and it was something I was going to stick with. Now im at 15 years old still riding and own two horses. My first horse is a dark bay 15.3 qh gelding he is blind in one eye and has 2 uneven legs. He has been retire from my showing life and jumping and is half by a 7 year old girl now. I also have a Thoroughbred that is leased out to me by this lady going through a divorce and soon to be giving him to me. We are a perfect match and we jump 3'6! Horses are wonderful creatures (:
I started hanging out at the barn and getting lead around on the ponies & Toby when I was about three, and I started weekly lessons when I was six. By then I could walk and trot by myself. My dad hates horse, and hates me riding them, which is why I don't have my own horse. Right now I am 14 and I lease a horse. I discovered eventing about three years ago and am loving it! I am jumping three feet in lessons and am doing Dressage, but not quite as well as jumping. I am out at the barn four days a week or more and help out there a lot. So you definitely don't need your own horse to love it!

I was 3yo when I first began to ride. I then spent years and years begging for a horse and having lessons every weekend. Finally when I was 12yo I got my first horse and a few years later I got my next one. Within the next 2 years I hope to get 2 more :)
I started riding when I was around 1 and a half. kind of thing (not by myself until I was 2) I got my first pony when I was 2 her name was LC and she is currently 35 retired and being a baby sitter for little kids.

I was 2 years old when I began horseback riding. My parents bought me a pony, who is still alive 22 years later! Now I have 5 of my own horses.

Hi, I was put on a pony at 2, got proper lessons at 5 and bought my first horse at 11.
