is there anything i can do?

my mom is selling my horse, and i don't even know why?

she told me this past friday, and i have cried basically everytime i think about it since then.

and she doesn't even have a reason.

is there any thing, and i mean ANYTHING i can do?

please, i really love him. i really do.
Try to find out why. If you don't know why, you can't know what you can do. Have you been in trouble lately? Is your family struggling financially ?

If it's financial problems, there isn't much you can do. You could try to work something out with the barn owner where you work in exchange for board, or if you keep your horse at home get a job, but this will only work if you are old enough and don't do much. And this will only work if your mom just decided she can't afford the horse-If the finances are so bad that, say, she's worried about how the bills will be paid, then you can't realistically keep the horse.
What do you mean she doesn't have a reason!!! If the horse doesn't live on air alone, she is costing a pretty penny to keep her. Feel thank full for your parents letting you have one as long as you have had her. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Maybe you would rather have your folks loose your home or the car. Pretty bad economic times right now and horses are a luxury.

Cowboy up and let him go, get a job and help with the family finances and get one when you are able to pay for one yourself.
It's not right for her to sell your horse for no reason and especially since you care for him so much. But if it has to do with financial situations, there probably isn't anything you can do.Tell her that you don't want the horse to be sold, tell her how you feel.Ask her why exactly is she selling your horse. There must some reason.Try to convince her, make her understand how much your horse means to you.If that doesn't work .... Maybe you should tell your dad or someone else in your family maybe there's something they could do.I 'm terribly sorry if none of this helps.I hope my suggestions would help you.But like I said, if it's financial problems, you can't really do much about it.If you are of working age, you can find a job to help pay for the expenses of the horse.
There probably a reason-time, money, maybe she lost her job. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Ask her if there is anything you can do, if it's money, you can pay off board and vet, maybe half-lease him to someone ...

If your grades are going down, you can make a deal that you have to keep a good average to keep your horse

If you're missing time, find a closer barn, or part-lease him to someone.
Sorry to hear this. It is hard to answer without knowing why she is selling your horse. Can you sit down and talk to her and find out why? If you knew why then you could try and find a way to keep him. Maybe if you have an instructor for lessons, 4-H, or anything they could help you talk to your mom and find out why. Maybe they could work with your mom for a different option. Could it be money related? Maybe she is in a spot that she cannot support the horse anymore? If so are you old enough to work? Can you work at the barn if your horse is boarded? It would be easier to give you suggestions if you knew why. Keep trying and looking for answers.

Again, so sorry this is happening, it is not easy to lose a horse in anyway. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Good Luck
Are you in Pony Club or anything? You could raise money or something if thats what you need. Show her that you really like riding and ride a ton .. Write an essay on why you love/want to keep your horse.
Get a job and pay for the horse yourself. Otherwise, if your mom is the one dishing out the dough for the horse, it is really her horse to do with as she pleases.
There must be a reason.

You need to find out what it is, then you can figure out if there is anything you can do about it.
