I have a fun question for everybody: what discipline do you ride and what is your favorite to ride in? Why? Plz no rude comments this is just for fun.
I love riding period because it is so relaxing. All my aches of the day just melt away. My body feels like a noodle after all the stiffness of school and work just flop of my body and I am finally able to breath.
When I am on the trails or just laying on my horses back in a field, I love the sounds of nothing but the wind, leaves, my horses steps, and nature period. I feel so relaxed and close to God and free with my horse . The world just dissapears.
I love the feeling of when I jump. It is the same feeling when you go over a hill fast. When your stomach flips and you feel butterflies. Epic: D Jumping though (includingHunter/Jumper) is my favorite thing to do.
Dressage is something that I more want to learn then to do. I love doing it but not showing. I find it important to know and I have learned to control my horse so much better.

Endurance Racing is so much fun and you can do it with friends. I don't care about winning really, just having a good time.
For pretty much the entire 6 years I was involved with horses I rode Western pleasure, just because that's what you do if you own a horse in Nebraska. I entered a couple of barrel racing and pole bending classes with my pleasure horses just for fun and laughs, but my favorite discipline I have tried is reining. The skill of reigning horses just blows my mind; they are amazing creatures. No offense to Western pleasure buffs, but pleasure horses are a yawn-fest compared to the exhilaration of riding a reigning horse!
While reigning is my favorite discipline, nothing compares to having such a connection with your horse that you are able to just take him into an arena or field and hop on bareback with no bridle. That has been the most rewarding experience of my time in the horse circuit.
I love gymkhana! Love the thrill of all the games, especially barrels, keyhole and pole bending! My old horse is now 25, and when he sees me carry out the barrels, he acts like he is 4! Prancing and cant wait to get going.

I also love trail riding, because it combines riding with scenery and some fun obstacles. Don't care much when turkeys fly out, horses always freak out!
My very favorite is dressage, but do not have a horse or pony who knows how .... one of these days I hope to return to it.
I mainly do Western Pleasure, which isn't the most exciting discipline in my opinion.
However, I've tried many different things. I even played polo-very different! Gymkhana is pretty fun. But I've taken a great liking to reining and sorting. I would love to get more competitive with reining, but it's hard to find a decent instructor in my area (the only one I know of charges big $ $ $ for lessons).
I have always ridding western and done both pleasure and speed, but I would have to say riding bareback is my absolute favorite i just feel the bond getting stronger between my horse and me and my horse and me feel free after doing so with her so much i can practically read what she wants to do almost like we are linked together and i can read her thoughts and how shes feeling.
I ride Hunter/jumper. I love jumping, the whole thrill, the feeling of being so high in the sky and the deep bond between the horse and rider, its an adrenaline rush. i mean i love just riding but jumping is my favorite thing to do! what about you?

i just love the feeling of jumping. i get that adrenaline rush cause im a bit scared but i love to do it anyway.
I enjoy trail riding more than anything lately. I used to love competing, particularly in reining and western pleasure , but nowadays I just like hitting the trails when I get the rare chance to get on a horses back.
I like Eventing. I do Pony Club. I'm really good at Dressage though. My horse is young so I ' m still training him to not be afraid of things.
I just do Western trail riding and bareback!: DI want to try english though! Sadly, can't afford a saddle. Someday though!!!: D

Barrels and Poles, and when ever im not to busy I will throw my english saddle on and work on dressage! LOVE IT! EVERY horse should be taught Dressage.
I used to go hound hunting with a friend. Wasn't into the whole hunting bit, was more the rush I would get and the exictment from my mare.
i do dressage and hunter, but my favorite way to ride is bareback hacking , and galloping:)
i ride hunter/jumper but over the summer i did a little cross country eventing kinda course thing and it was SO much fun! but i was horrible so im gonna stick to jumping:)
