Im doing a presentation for school, I have many possitive traits for the breed, but Im having trouble finding negative ones. Any help would be appriciated.
Morgans of the old foundation bloodlines were very small and almost "pony-ish" in size. They were very stout and strong though. But, it limited the size of rider that might be attracted to them. Thankfully (for me anyhow), through planned and careful breeding, a 16hh Morgan is not an unusual site at shows. Also, color choices were pretty much bay, black or chestnut ... thankfully that has changed too and you have everything from Palomino to Gray to Buckskins.
Of course, like people, they have their own personalities. Some are very very nice and some are very very bad but overall they are a great breed!!
Some are very hot. I've known many that are smart and can outsmart their riders easily. Some are spooky. Many are very sensitive. All of these can be both positive or negative depending on rider. They can be prone to insulin resistance as well.
A lot of them have more stamina than the casual rider would want to put up with.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com That is why a lot of M. or M corsses are used by the guides and packers at deer and hunt camps because they can go for several days and keep going and not run out of energy.
