I have had some trouble with my traditional wooden fence these past few months. It has broken numerous times. One time, it broke and a horse I watching for my friend's daughter escaped (don't worry. I told them she was stolen by black people and they believed me). I am in the process of having a barbed wire fence put up. Do you think this will work better?

Well, first off. You should have told them the truth and not lied to make them racist towards people of Africa, Haiti, and even Hispanics with black skin. It you were to use straight up barb wire fencing, your horse could get caught in it and it would not bring up good results. Could you show us a picture of your wooden fence? Wooden fencing, though it is nice, can be hard to keep up with and manage.

barber wire could severely hurt or even kill horses with its sharped edges like the first answer said try electric tape or if your wooden fence uses nails just go around and reinforce it with screws. screws work 82384238x better then nails and use oak for your planks this is expensive but very efficient.

NO. Barbed wire does not deter horses. Try a strand of electric tape. That should work well enough.
