i just turned 18 and i bought my own 2 horses. i have a black stallion and his name is tucker. and a white gelding and his name is hawk. i bought them from the same person and have been together for about 3 years, but where in a large herd of horses. hawk was at the very bottom of the pecking order in the herd, and now that it is just tucker and hawk, hawk keeps being really mean to tucker. tucker doesn't even have to provoke anything, hawk is just mean to him. they were in seperate stalls side by side and hawk was trying to intimidate him. and it was not feeding time. they had been done eating for about an hour. here are some pictures so you can understand their size better. but right now they are at my neighbors house and i go their 3 times a day to feed and take care of them and i am moving them a 1/2 mile down the road to my house tomorrow. my parents think i should get rid of tucker, but i'm too attached to him. both horses are broke to ride. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Let them sort out their troubles and give them time to do so - ok they were in the same herd, but now they're just the two of them it will take some time for them to sort each other out. Especially as the one is a stallion, it's going to get a bit more defensive and hostile to begin with.
When I first got my old loan I kept him with my friend's horse - and he was a bugger for chasing him around just to remind him who was boss, it took them a good few months to really sort themselves out and start properly getting along. By the time I stopped loaning him, the two were joined at the hip.
ok seriously, is it really a huge freaking deal if i specify that hes a freaking paint. as long as people get the picture. nobody asked you to come on here and be some kind of jerk. and fyi, tucker is not a pony. he is a mini. so stfu!

You should get Tucker gelded as soon as possible. This may or may not solve your problem with Hawk, but it will solve lots of other problems that will come up with having a stallion (no matter what size he is).
If you have just gotten them, they are probably working out their new pecking order, and things should calm down soon.
You have no business owning horses. You're dumb as a box of rocks.
Tucker is not a horse, he's a pony. Have him gelded now.
Hawk is not white, he's a pinto/paint.
Have that fat little guy gelded tomorrow.
Putting a stallion and gelding together generally just does not work. Is it possible to put them in seperate paddocks where they can see each other? This would be the best solution.
I have always had stallions and I put them in a seperate paddock, this way there is no chance of the horses getting hurt and I find it easier to deal with them when they are not distracted by other horses.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com You could also consider gelding the stallion if you do not plan on using him for breeding purposes, it should simplify things for you.
Horses will always fight to establish a pecking order and they like to remind their paddock buddies daily who is in charge. This can get pretty brutal from the laymans eyes but is totally normal.
