When I am living on my own I plan on having two horses, four dogs, and two cats. Im hoping to be a middle school or high school pe teacher. My everyday scedule would be something like this-
When I wake up feed the dogs and cats. Then go out to the barn and feed the horses. Then go let the dogs and cats outside for the day, then go put the horses in the pasture for the day.
When I return home from work I would go feed the horses and the dogs and cats. Groom the horses and put them up in the stalls for the rest of the night. (I would ride them depending on if I have time). Then go play with the dogs and let the dogs and cats inside. Go eat dinner. And so on ... I would also ride the horses on the weekends too.
Do you think that sounds good??
Whats your everyday scedule like??
Yeah except the horses can live out in the warmer months.
Wow! You've certainly got everything covered! I think its a good idea to be a teacher as this would mean you had holidays to spend time with your animals ..... maybe remember that dogs need walking everyday twice a day although with them being outside all day i suppose they could have just one walk a day and perhaps have little thought about financial situation but apart from that you sound covered
I am 15 at the moment and hae my own horse and my mum has two

Glad you have it worked out!
however you are going to pay for it all on a teacher's salary goodness knows.
Dogs and cats are better if you only feed them once a day. Dogs also need walking. It is no good leaving them to their own defences all day every day.
Hope it works out for you.
You can't afford anything on a teacher salary, at least in california, and what about the papers you have to grade, that consumes so much time, and coming up with lesson plans and activities , writing up the test, etc.
i think it's good plan but it would be a lot to put on yourself. you have to think of the extra hours when it comes to putting up hay for the winter and property upkeep, or what if you get married and have kids? before you go all out and a set number of dogs, cats, and horses, maybe start with 1 cat, then add a dog, and then add a horse. i have 3 dogs, 2 cats , 4 chickens, 4 horses i care for-2 are mine, 2 are boarded, 1 cow, and a husband, and a 7 yr old and a 8 month old. i'm a stay at home mom and i still am not able to go out and ride when i want. i have to put my baby before my hobby. all our animals are cared for and loved, but until my youngest doesn't require the constant attention he needs now, then my time is pretty much taken . any time i have when the baby naps or is occupied is spent cleaning or with my 7 yr old. in theory having a lot of animals is great, but in reality when life gets going it's a lot harder than you think.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com my schedule:
5:30 am feed baby
7:00 am get 7 yr old up and ready for school, then on the bus
7:45 am let dogs out
8:00 am fix breakfast and feed baby
9:00 am put the baby in the car and feed the horses and outside animals
10:00 am play with baby
11:00 am feed baby
11:30 am put baby down for nap, fix lunch, eat
12:00 pm clean house
1:00 pm feed baby
1:30 pm play with baby
2:00 pm check outside animals' water
2:30 pm clean on house
3:30 pm get 7 yr old off bus
4:00 pm fix snack, feed baby
5:00 pm feed outside animals
6:00 pm do homework with 7 yr old, do laundry
7:00 pm start dinner
7:30 ish pm eat dinner/feed baby
8:00 pm feed inside animals/give 7 yr old bath
9:00 pm read to 7 yr old
9:30 pm put 7 yr old to bed, let dogs out for the bathroom
10:00 pm feed baby then go to bed
now i also have to pay bills, spend fun time with my 7 yr old and my husband, and whatever else needs done. sometimes if i am lucky i'll get 1 - 2 hours to myself to mess with my horse, take a bath , or whatever. i also have to go to the store and that sort of stuff too. so please start smaller and don't add too much at once. my husband is usually here to help me-but he's currently gone hunting, and he works an hour away. so a lot is left to me. ease into it
I think it would be good. Except, maybe if you can't ride your horses everyday, have an exercise rider that can come when needed to exercise the horses. Other than that it sounds good!
