Red would oh no red umm hunter green?
A green plaid. It looks cool in motion. Why stick one color when you have several.
Purple or a light blue or even dark blue I think those color would look great.

Black, blue, green, white or brown would look good. =)
Blue, Yellow, Neon Orange, Bright Green, Lavender, dark not hot but dark Pink.
I like the color of the halter she's wearing that color or a light blue.

WHo gives a damn not like you'll ever be able to compete. It'll bolt like all teh others and you'll just fall on your fat **** and kill yourself. If the pony doens't starve first.
Purple is hideous. Light blue looks washed out. Dark blue is ugly too and won't show up.
Maroon, teal, or gold.

If he is naturally black put a light sheet on him come show season - keeps him from bleaching out - just a tip.
I would go with a really LOUD colour. Lime green, royal blue, or bright purple.
Or if its a mare (I was assuming it was a gelding) or a gelding with either some serious man-tude or gay-tude, HOT PINK is THE BOMB.
And I honestly don't even like pink. I think black horses look freaking AMAZING in pink. Stands out really well, doesn't clash or wash them out, but contrasts nicely.
