My horse weights 1300lbs (roughly). How much should he be weighing in at as a guide. I cant find anything on the internet to answer this question. Many thanks ?

I don't really know the answer to your question, but I would just judge by looking at him. Does he look too fat? Or does he look like he is in good condition? You could also discuss it with your vet.

Nobody can really guess that without seeing him. That's a pretty tall standardbred. I once had a thing like a tape measure that went around the horse behind the front legs, where the cinch goes, that would give you an approximate weight. The vet could also give you a reasonable idea. 1300 sounds like an awful lot, I have a friend with a 16.2 h morgan that the vet says weighs around 1200

I think that may be too much. I'd talk with a vet and see. My thoroughbred at that height weighs less that that. I think 1300lbs is too much for a standardbred. Seems more like a draft horse to me.
