What is the ideal job for my freisian cross?
I would really like to compete my mare, just not sure what in?
She will be backed this summer and will be coming up three, I want to have a aim/goal to go for, I know I will obviously wait till she is riding away, just wondered if there was any other freisian x owners out there that have any ideas, also I quite Fancy doing a few local shows this summer, what is the correct atire for me and her for the in hand classes? should she be plaited?
Thank you x
friesians are really good in Dressage, not so much in jumping. Try doing some flat competions and Dressage with her
I agree with Lexi. I think that freisians make beautiful dressage horses. If you want to do some local shows, you could try some English pleasure and equitation classes. For showing an English horse in a "halter" class, you should be in show attire (boots, breeches, hunt coat, etc.) She should wear a bridle and should be plaited.
i've got a friesian x and he does everything, dressage, sj, xc, showing.. theres nothing you can't do on them tbh. left natural i think is best, i wouldn't bother to plait. just make sure she looks smart. :)

fresians make awesome dressage horses :) you could event her, or just do showing and dressage classes, fresians can pretty much do anything so it can come down to whether you want a little more excitement (eventing) or are happy to do the laid back (although kind of boring.... showing classes)

it all depends on the show whether you should plait or not, unless it says on the entry form that plaiting is not required, then you will probably be expected to plait, paint the hooves and everything else that is considered traditional turnout. but this may be different for inhand shows.... so im not entirely sure, but for ridden classes then that would be the case, sorry im not much help :P
Frisians do great in Dressage and so do Warmbloods. You have your self a mighty fine mix there. I would get an instructor and start small with walk trot classes for show and such to see how she does. It also depends on how well she moves and listens to cues and such. Have fun ^_^
well it depends, freisians excels in dressage and not so much in jumping, and it depends on the warmblood. she could probably do well in anything as long as she wishes to. There's a freisian x welsh cross at my uncle's barn and he's a good jumper jumping up to 3'6" and he's an amazing eventer. It could do well in anything honestly. You're just gonna have to see what will happen.
