A Quarter Arab mix named Misty, a palomino sabino Paint mare named Amber , and a Saddle Bred named Diamond.

I learned on a POA named Spot and a OTTB named Tequila. I was about 2 when I started riding and I rode Tequila on my own at 5 years old . My parents were scared sh! tless lol. She was a good girl and I miss her dearly.

Then after that, I learned on a QH who was a flight risk named Sassy. She was a pain in the @ rse.

Then after THAT, I got to learn on a paint named Arizona. I loved that horse so much. I did speed events with him and he was amazing.

I was such a horse crazy kid, when I finally got to ride, I relished it. To this day, I remember the names, colors, markings and attitudes of nearly all of my lesson horses! The first horse I ever rode was named Bird and he was a OTTB in his mid twenties. He was probably 16 hands or so. He was the ugliest of seal browns, looked rather tattered and tired and dull. He was so sweet and kind and gentle. I fell off him my very first time trotting. Next, I tried Bailey, a large, gentle, chestnut warm blood gelding also of retirement age. Then, I graduated from him to several mares. I had Beauty, a dark seal brown Arab Morgan cross. She was a pony technically-probably standing 13.3 hands or so. She had a spunky streak, but was always a pleasure to ride (if not a bit pudgy and hard to stay on). I had Chancey (her name suited her) a chestnut quarter pony. She was small, maybe 14.2 hands and a crabby patty. She didn't like to be a lesson horse, but she put up with it. I had Coffee, a buckskin 15 hh AQH. She was great when she wasn't in heat- she needed Regumate for her cycle. After those mares, I got in good with a dressage trainer that boarded at my lesson farm, and she gave me free lessons on her 15 hand gray Arab gelding Shalimar (Sham). She also let my ride her 3rd level Appy, Chip, and her project OTTB, KK often. I got to take a few jumping lessons on a hot Arab named Flex. After Flex, I worked with a schoolmaster Hanoverian named Concorde. After that, I remember a Selle Francais named King Arthur, an Irish Draft named Ivey, a paint mare named Fancy, a Quarter horse named Indy, an Arab cross named Sonny, a mix named Buck and Amish buggy horse named Sydney. There were lots of other horses I rode once or on occasion and with the exception of the Lipi stud and the Dutch warm blood stallion, none were as close to my heart as my first lesson horses!!

ADD-Oops, I fogot a bouncy, grey Arab gelding named Taaman (he would faint if you tightened his girth too much and only had vision in one eye) and a grey Quarter horse gelding named Moon.
I'm gonna look for pictures, cause you have me feeling nostalgic.
These are not me, they are my friends from my lesson farm, and in some cases the horses' owners.
