i have a black TWH mare. her registration says black. so she must be sun bleached severely. shes 14'2hhs tall and 14yrs old. she was registered when she was 4yrs old. anyways! i wanted something really neat and really cool to show as and i would also like to ride in the Halloween parade! so i want to ride her not walk her and i would also need a corresponding costume . either something i can make or something i can buy. shes kid safe and NOTHING can spook this horse! i can ride her with a bandanna over her eyes! she can be blind and shes still 100%.

Just as a start, TWINKLE horse products look awsome. They have glitter hoof polish, regular hoof polish, glitter paint and spray that is horse safe, etc. You could do a my-little-pony, etc. You could ride as one of the Four Horsemen Of The Apocolypse (google them, theres four and you could match and make your dog the fourth) You could be the Headless Horsemen (I've seen someone do this, it was very cool. They had see-through material over their eyes, and carried a pumpkin) and your friend could be Ichabod Craine (the dude whos opposite the Horsemen in the stories) You could dress up as Jockies, powder both horses and yourselves and go as Ghosts, do the Cowboy and Indian thing, you could go as a King and Queen or Knights (your armor can go from anything between Tin-foil, plastic, etc and full blown chain mail and coverings for your horse.)

You could dress up as any video game characters or TV characters that ride horses (Link from Zelda, etc.) You could go as characers from Alice and Wonderland (or really, any movie) and modify some of the characters to be costumes for your horses (IE the Mad Hatters Hat can be mad as a horses hat, or the horse could have bunny ears, or red hearts painted on it)

Possibilitys are endless. One of my instructors rode his horses in a parade once, and he dyed the horses mane and tail and put a cone on her head to make her a convincing unicorn.

my costume for this year will be putting a blue blanket on my horse, like a stable blanket, and put reflective strips down her legs. on the back part of the blanket, i will put an EMS sticker. and i will have a fire fighting suit on. that is easy for me to get a hold of tho because both my dad and my big bro are on the fire dept. i think for us it will look kinda cute, and i dont need to buy anything!!
