How is her conformation? And how does her muscle build up look?
I just want to know what you think of her conformation from these pictures. They aren't the best pictures, I couldn ' t get her to stand perfectly square.

I, personally would like her neck a little bit longer. She's slightly pigeon toed, but my corrective farrier has fixed it a lot. She's also just recently got back into work (these last two months) after being thrown out into a pasture and being a rescue (got her emaciated/malnurished and really torn up). She was also lame in her hind end for awhile. So, if you could tell me how her muscle build up looks that'd be awesome!

If it helps, this is what she was like two weeks-ish after I got her:

Wow, you've done a wonderful job with her. She's lucky to have found such a good home with you! I agree she could still use a little more weight and a lot more muscle, but if she had a lameness issue it's a good thing that you're taking it slow . The hill work should help, but these things take time. I also suggest stretching her long and low during your warm-up and cool-down times so that she gets a chance to lift over her back and stretch her topline. And the gymnastics are a great idea too.

It sounds like you are doing all the right things with her. Just be patient. Sometimes with a lameness problem you'll never get the horse up to the level of work it would take to really build their topline muscle, but you just do the best you can. Great work, and I wish you and your girl all the best!

PS-I don't think her neck is too short either. Once she starts to stretch over her topline and builds up that area just in front of her withers, her neck will look totally different. I think you'll be very pleased with the length of her neck once that happens.

You know I think Luna's a sexy beast:)

I think her neck long enough. Hips look a little weak (needs some muscle) and I like a little more slope to the shoulder (probably because I'm so used to gaited horses). Overall I think she's a looker, but you already knew that.

Awe she is looking so cute!

Her neck and topline could use some serious muscling. She isn't really built uphill or downhill, very even, which in most respects is a good thing.

Her hocks are okay, not the greatest.

But all in all, looking awesome in comparison to what she was!

Good luck!

she looks so much better compared to when you first got her! keep up the good work! she does look a bit top-heavy though. you could build her legs, hind, and neck up a bit. in the last picture you can really tell that shes pigeon toed.

She's gone a long way. good job:)
Whats her name?
Topline muscling
Butt muscles

How old is she because she looks like she has a smidge of sway back. it also could be cause by lack of muscle on her top line. is she a tb? because she looks like one. she is somewhat lacking muscle on her top line. and she could use a bit more muscle on the bottom of her neck. also you cant make her neck longer. but she is lacking muscle a bit all over. it looks like she also has high whithers. holy crap but she looks so much better than before! your doing a good job! shes not skin and bones any more! also i noticed in the last pic that she has splayed toes (toes out in yer hind legs) so overall i think she could have more muscle (but i understand that she has been out to pasture and has lost some muscle so its understandable) and maybe fatten her up just a few pounds. but other than that she is pretty nice! and she is soo pretty! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

edit: why the thumbs down? i gave an honest and true critique.when you say pigeon toed are you talking about her hind legs? because if so thats not pigeon toed, its splayd feet. pigeon toed is when there toes point in.

Your horse is very, very pretty and cute! Absolutely stunning.:)
