My brother and dad are building me a small hay-shed, can it

My brother and dad are building me a small hay-shed, can it convert into a stable when needed?
Hi!
Isn't my brother and dad kind! lol They are building me a hay-shed and a small tack room next to that!
The shed will be about 3m x 3m in size, and about 2m in height (not including tack room).
My dads a welder so he would easily put a yard in front.
It will only be a temporary one for a couple of months as we are building a stable complex soon, so i will only need the shed during bad weather and nights before a show.
(The hay could easily go into the tack room for a night when i need the shed for my horsey (=)
Thanks for any help!

The measurements do seem tiny especially the height. Is it too late to get them to figure in another couple of metres in height ... one more metre would even do it. Horses have managed in standing stall for ever, yes they can lay down in them. If this small quarters is for only a night before a show and maybe even leave the "stall" door open so that horse could stand in or out during his stay that would be a bonus as well.

well get the measurements for a stall and just have them build a stall so you could easily do both! OR you could have them build a hay loft on it so you could have both in one! lol just a thought!:) lol but need to be BIGGER! the horse is more important then the hay!

Good Luck!

maybe for one night ... but not as a full time stable .. basically it will be about 9 x 9 feet and 6 feet high .. i think it should be higher than 6 feet. but if there is a bad storm it could work .

No, not unless it's a pony or small horse. You need a minimum of 12'x12 'and it needs to be around 10-12' high. Your horse could get cast and not be able to get up or lay down comfortably in that small of a space. You also need a higher cieling. A lot of horses wouldn't even be able to lift their head normal in 6 'of space. I like mine high enough that one won't crack a head if they rear or spook and lift their heads high. It wouldn't cost much more to make the area this big.

Also, I don't translate well into metric, but it's somthing like 4m by 4m and 3.5-4m high. Good luck.
