ok well just to let you know .... this is going to be a long rant about stupid people who dont think riding is a spiort

well today i was talking to people and like 5 people were like the horse does all the running and jumping and u just have to steer .... and its like wtf???? and it makes me want to strangle those people ... and then this one girl was like u just have to steer them and train them .... oh yeah like training a horse isnt physical exercise .... yeah training a horse is like the easiest thing in the world. .... and then its like ok well i have to keep a 1000 + pound animal under control and all you do is kick around a ball ... yeah ok then .... and then another was like the horse does the jumpinbg u just steer them to the jump ..... so you dont have to be in shape to jump a 3ft fence?? oh yeah ... i want to see you do that .... and posting and two point isnt exercise at all .... right .... ok. and like it just pisses me off soooooooo much that people think that the horse does EVERYTHING pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

We have all heard it .. its BS. and it's old news. just ignore it.

yes, i would like to see them jump without falling off, and without knowing two point, which is the hardest thing i have learned in all the 5 sports i do. riding a horse requires balance, calf and thiegh strength, patience, and a WHOLE lot of practice, i would know, i just learned the 2 point, and cant get it right, and my thighs hurt like hell !!!!!!!!!

Don't listen to those people.

They obviously have never rode a horse. I honestly didn't think riding looked that hard until I tried it (first time at ten) and I learned how much muscle and skill is needed to stay on, that's without doing it correctly!

It is a LOT harder to do it correctly.

Have those people get a horse walk, trot, lope, jump, gallop, barrel race, ect., ect., correctly and then have them tell me it's not a sport!

hahaha i want to see those people ride 3 times around a big arena in two point no breaks. or jump a 5 foot fence without knowing two point or anything. or run a 14 second barrel race and stay on. or ride my horse and stay on (she is a fighter) then they would understand how we work at it. oh btw i told my mom to try a lesson and after that, she was a new woman with a whole new appreciation for the SPORT! horseback riding people have strength and confidence!:)

lol well yeah i guess its always been that way ... non-horesy people dont understand. its not like its their "fault" but at the same time, ive always wondered why they think its so "easy": \
even the "perfect" ; push button ponies &#^@* up! i mean derrrr they are a live animal!

but oh well:) just ignore them. or go on youtube and show them some crazy a $ $ horse riding falls or something. thats what ive done in the past: P

I HATE people like that, it annoys me too know end. But do you want to know my comeback?
I say - so the olympics is a world sporting competion right? and they yeah then i say - well the do equestrian in the olympics, that would make it a sport. They cant argu cause they start argueing againest themselves.

I have so ran across many of those ppl. what ticks me off more is when ppl ask why i bother spending so much money on them? that one erks me more.

I hate those people. And then they go watch poker or nascar. WTF?!

My horses take a lot of work to control. One of my horses doesn 't canter willingly, so I hate to kick .. and whip. and kickk. And another one I have to keep him from running. So I have to keep constant pressure on his mouth. Ugh. I want to strangle them.

Yeah. Old problem. People will never cease to be narrow minded and self centered. Just tell them you don't want to hear their crap until they have actually ridden (and I don't mean pony rides or nose-tail trails) Over time you get used to ignoring them.

obiously, people who dont have horses, leased, ridden ... dont really know what they're talking about.
riding takes a lot of strength in your thighs, heels, etc .., horsebackriding ISASPORT !!!
