Should I go to a private riding lesson?
I have been off on vacation for about 2 months and I think I will be very messy and weak at my next lesson. This is because the last time that happened I couldn't steer properly and I couldn't keep my pace up and use my legs. It costs $ 50, but since I ride with a higher level group, I think this will help me get better in my riding. I thought it was a good idea, but my friends say that its stupid because I am going to do just fine. So I would like more opinions. Thanks!

I would go ahead and go to the private lesson. Since i know people that ride, I have heard it can be hard to get back in the groove after a vacation. I know it is costly, but in the long run it will help.

Private riding lessons can be exhausting because the instructor is paying attention to you every minute, and you must be "on" the entire time. I think they are well worth the expense if you are an advanced rider working on dressage skills, but since you are a beginner rider (you say you can't steer properly after a break) I believe you will catch up pretty quickly just going to your weekly group lessons and you can skip the extra expense of a private lesson.

I thin if your unsure about yourself or how your gonna be at the lesson then you should definitely go for a private lesson even if its just half an hour=]

$ 50?!? That's lots! I wouldn't let my children go into private lessons for that much. I only go up to $ 35 and lower. Why are they so much?! Why don't you go to different lessons?

i would take a group lesson and if you don't do goo then talk to your instructor about a private lesson

waste of money
