Western bit for my horse?
i currently ride my 5 yr old gypsy/morgan in a Uxeter Kimberwick and this winter i would like to work him western, but im not sure what to buy for him . because we'll be doing dressage next year, im told ill have to switch him to a snaffle, so im not sure what western bit i should use. is there any way to narrow down the large amount of choices there are available? i know that i dont want to use anything thats harsh because he listens really well most of the time. the only problem i think ill have with a snaffle is his head set, which we'll just have to work on.

and i ride western, we have a flavored bit for my horse so she has something to taste while it's in her mouth.
oh and make sure you NEVER let a horse EAT ANYTHING while a bit is in their mouth, this can cause them to choke. a little grass is ok, but nothing like a horse cookie
