I need advice on barrel racing.?
How do I convince my mom to let me take barrel lessons?
I've been riding for a while an I can tell you-if you look at my family - i stick out like a sore thumb, i was born in the saddle while sadly, my family is anything but enthusiastic about me riding.
- I feel that riding is in my blood, there no stopping me once I mount up- it's pretty much the only place that I feel like I'm home, the only problem is when i started riding they were a little concerned about my safety so to make themselves feel better they pretty much made up a complete lie that th only way you get hurt on a horse- is if you in competition such as barrel racing- which I what I want to take lessons for- I counsel at this horse camp&& I go on a trail ride practically every weekend - my parent are even letting me get a horse- but BEFORE I'm ready to take on the commitment a couple months of barrel lessons would be nice ( I mean after all the barrel reins are my favorite-) so any ways or ideas that you might have to convince my parents would be so helpful! It means the world to me so please don't ignore (: please help

That's me.
answer: okay, you have to agree with your parents to extent, they just don''t want you to get hurt, because barrel racing is very dangerous and can result in bad injuries but 'have you tried asking your parents, be confident, and suggest they come and watch, tell them how much you want to do it, and that your willing to take the risk, you could also get the barrel racing instructre to tell your parents about barrel racing. thats my addvice.
Save up some money and go for a lesson or two - at a good barn. Let your mom see you fly and voila, she'll be up for it.
Barrel racing can be dangerous.. because it's a high speed event, and a good barrel horse turns very sharp, making it easy to lose footing..
BUT.. it is ALOT of fun.. and is a great rush.
Pets Questions and AnswersPets Questions and Answers I'm not sure how you could convince them..
When learning to barrel race, and teaching your horse, you always start off slow.
Maybe you can make sure you're parents understand that..
I'm not sure what else you could say..
