What fish ate my bettas fins and how can i prevent this if I choose to move him to my 55?
in my 1st55 there is currently 1 pictus-plan to get two more, and one flying fox. Of course it was a risk but I have successfully kept a male betta w/a rainbow shark so I thought he may be fine but all his fins are now rip to shred. Who did it?

I have him in a small container that floats in the 55.

I have another 55#2 unestablished but my problem is if I move him to it when its established will it be worth it to have him in a 55 when I want large group of two-three types of schooling fish?

To me it's pointless to have him in that 55#2 if I cant mix him with other fish. This one I want to have all peaceful fish that stay under 6inch's. Like really colorful fish that are nice.

Would he be ok with platys, coolie loaches, and some other school of fish such as rasboras.

This 55#2 already has lots and lots of fake plants. wood, decors the act as cover, but no substrate because its going to cost me 100$ to fill the bottom. I plan to get expensive gravel with nutrients for plants, then sand on top, and a co2 injector so I can grow many live plants and take the fake plants out as the live plants fill out the tank. I have the fake plants there so my fish can be happy and healthy.

Any ideas how to stalk my other 55 with fish that are purely compatible for my betta? I want top, bottom, and middle dwelling fish. I'm 100% sure the coolie loaches should be fine with a betta.

What about Angelia's botia?

Is it possible to fill out a 55 with fish that are compatible with a betta and wont stress it out?
