i put this bubble thingy in my fishes tank it makes bubbles ...does it help with oxygen or is it just for looks??also what is a plate filter i also have that but i dont think it works???im kinda confused LOL

Normally people put air pump in aquarium when there's a lot of fish inside. When you put air pump, it can increase amount of oxygen in your aquarium with bubbles produced. If your water clear that means your plate filter already done its job, it actually help with producing beneficial bacteria inside your aquarium.
