What to put in my 10 gallon?
I had 6 neon tetras in my 10 gallon originally with 2 male guppies nd a zebra (nerite) snail. 3 of my neons died within the first few weeks but hve been down to 3 neon tetras and 2 male guppies for about 2 months now so I know everyone will be around for awhile now. I'm looking at getting a few more fish my tank looks empty.
I do not want anymore guppies the longest they seem to live for me is 1-2 months and they die with no probable reason.
I was thinking of one of the following
1. 3 more neon tetras
2. a dwarf gourami
3. 3 pristella tetras
4. 3 white clouds
5. 3 glow tetras
6. 3 lemon tetras
Do any of those sound alright? I only have 5 fish in there right now but I do not want to overcrowd my tank. I know neons do much better in groups of 6 or more which I tried and started with but had issues with survival as I know they stress easy
Tetra's and Danios/glofish need at least 20 gallons. 3-4 male guppies stocks a ten gallon tank. Dwarf Gourami's cannot be in anything under 20 gallons. White clouds are cool water fish... I would get rid of the tetras and go with two more guppies. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
EDIT: 2 platties then.
I suspect the reason they keep dying is that your tank is overstocked.
get a ghost catfish available a PetSmart
get things that help clean the cage such as a snail or small catfish
That sounds pretty good :) but the Dwarf Gourami would have a problem. Other than that tetras are very small fish and they like to sick in groups

hope this helped
Add more neon tetras so they can feel safer and school
