Is it ok if i have 9 guppies in my 10 gallon tank?
i do water changes weekly. so far i have 3 males and 2 females for each male. When my female gives bhirth i will give the fry to my friend, he raises guppies he has a lot of fry. secondly how do i give the female a good birth place i have a breeding trap so like how do i know when to put her in, but plz answer my main question too, is it ok to keep the 9 guppies in my tank.
Of course! You can have more if you have a good filter and clean alot! Now for your next ? You could buy plants and hiding places for her. I think a breeding trap is okay for now. You can get a tank divider to put in and put the female on the other side that will cause less stress. Now She will hide alot! Mostly in plants, and behind filters. She will have a squared off shape to her belly that is the main thing. also if she is hanging out by the heater.

It is not okay to have that many guppies in a ten gallon tank 6 at the most should be in there.

if you got a good filter and do 25 percent water changes weekly then sure go for it.

NO... 4-5 would stock a ten gallon tank... especially with fry...
With 6 females, you will have 100 guppies within 3 months. Does your friend want that many fry? You really shouldn't have any females unless you understand why they are nicknamed "million fish" and have a plan what to do with the fry. They will not stop breeding. Even if you separate them, females can store sperm for upwards of 6 months and will continue dropping fry for a long time.
