How many times should I feed my fish a day?

1 to 2 times a day just what your fish can eat in 2-3 minutes
once and no more than can be eaten in a couple of minutes. If your tank looks cloudy after feeding, you're feeding too much.
You should feed your fish at least twice a day. Also depending on how many fish you have, the amount of food given varies. I gave my two Goldfish a pinch of fish food around breakfast time and dinner time.

Small fish I tend to feed more often, like new hatched fry need to be fed about 5 times a day, while a big carnivore like an adult Oscar will be fine with a good feed every 2nd day.

It depends on size of your fish. Give once a day for adult/big fish and 3 times a day for juvenile/small fish. If you busy with your daily work/schedule you can feed them once every 2/3 days. But don't let them starving too long, it can stressed the fish.
