I have 2 small goldfish and i feed them 2 types of good quality specified fish food, however i want to give them something new. I refuse to feed them other fish-I consider it cruel, as you can see i own feeder fish.; ) Anyways i heard you can feed them veggies, and i was wondering which ones acn i feed them-how do i prepare them-and how do i feed them to my babies?
NOTE: I have the 13cent smallest baby goldfish, and a larger 27cent goldfish. I need small foods for them.
Cucumber is great! Just make sure to cut it up really tiny so they don't choke.
Other vegetables/fruits include ...
Apple - chopped into small slices
Banana - lumps
Blackberries
Carrot - shredded
Cheddar Cheese - finely shredded
Grapefruit
Grapes - peeled
Green Peas - Boiled and Skinned
Lime
Orange
Raspberries
Spinach - boiled, small leaves
Tangerine
Watermelon - unseeded

Feed him/her vegetables more than fruits, but still do not over feed them with all fruits and veggies. A few times a week is good enough. They are treats, so as you and I would eat ice cream once a week, fish and their veggies need to be limited as well.
