I have a freshwater 37 gallon aquarium. I have 1 pleco and 3 blood fin tetras. I noticed that one of my tetras looked like he had fin rot, so I moved him to a quarantine tank, treated him, but he unfortunately died. I noticed that the other 2 tetras in the tank appeared as though they were losing color in their fins/tails, and the fins/tails were thinning. I treated the tank with Maracyn/Maracyn 2 for the 5 day period, and they are still eating/swimming etc. I did a 25% water change today after treating them. On the back of the package, it said repeat if the symptoms persist. My question is, should I repeat another 5 day treatment or not? Their fins still don ' t have all their color back. Could this be from having the tank light off for 5 days, or could the fin rot still be there and need another treatment with Maracyn/Maracyn 2 or tetracycline.
Thank You!
