About fish! How should I save my fish from dying?

Well I have four fishes in aquarium, one of them is gold fish.We had 7 fishes before but 3 of them expired: (...

Details about golden fish -

Well I change the water like every week, and they have their eating time too.I want to know about gold fish, I have a feeling that it feels very hungry, is it so? Or is it just fooling me to feed it more and kill it?

I don't want to lose this one, its very lovely fish.Do you know when I put my finger in the water the gold fish comes up and bites my finger by its tiny mouth and I enjoy it.

Well it is only 10 cm tall.

Requirements please -

Also tell me how much should I feed it? Like one tea spoon because all the other fishes also eat it.lol.

Then tell me is putting finger inside and letting it bite it is healthy for fish? Or will it get infection?

Now it is winter here, does the fish also feels the temperature?

Umm, one more thing what are the precautions?
Goldfish need large, filtered TANKS. They cannot live in bowls, or anything under 3gal. They can live for years in small 3 + gallon tanks, but are better suited for 20 gallons . They can grow to huge sizes, so the bigger the better. Goldfish, even one, are very messy. Immidiatley after they eat, the poop. Therefor, you need a filter. Goldfish need goldfish-specified food. Although they need more than just a good quality food, they can eat fresh veggies and fruits. You MUST make sure they are small though, and skin things like grapes and peas. goldfish can geta number of diseases, from Ammonia burn to the ever so common swim bladder, which is caused by feeding them foods such as food pellets. My goldfish died of ammonia burn although luckily i was able to get it under control before it took my other fish aswell. If you have any other queistions, please sne me a message and i would be happy to help. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

I think you should get him married ... lol

Get a female goldfish ....:)
To get an accurate answer you need to provide more information about your tank:

1. How many gallons is your tank?

2. Exactly what species are all the fish in your tank (ie "cleaner" fish is not a species - "pelcos" or "cories" are)

3. What is the temperature of your water?

4. What kind of filter does it have on it and do you change the media?

5. How big (in length) are each of the fish? pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

6. How long has the tank been set up with fish living in it?

For starters, goldfish are coldwater fish. "Cleaner" fish are likely to be a tropical species that need warm water so the two are not compatible. You should make the tank either all goldfish or all tropical and heat the tank accordingly.

Another thing is that the tank needs to be properly cycled. If you just set the tank up a few weeks ago and put fish in right away they are likely dying from ammonia. It can take several weeks to cycle a tank but it is nessesary. Please google tank cycling.

Precautions with fish include not adding new fish until they have been quaratined in order to prevent introducing diseased into your tank. I am willing to bet these fish are dying from ammonia - it's almost always the case. If ever you think your fish do not look well and you're not sure why, do a 50-75% water change right off the bat, and then tackle the problem with a little more focus.

If you want to become a better fish keeper and have better luck with fish, it is crucial you learn about cycling and do research about how much space your fish need and what kind of environment they need. I advise you to join a fish forum like aquariumadvice.com where experienced fish keepers will get you on the right track.

How big is your aquarium? Goldfish need 20 gallons/fish. At anything larger than 5 gallons, your tank should be cycled, so you should only be changing 10-15% of the water 1/week. Goldfish will eat until their stomach's explode , so I really don't think food is the problem. I think it's likely you have your tank way overstocked and they're dying and ill because of toxic water conditions. Please post tank size info., and whether it's cycled or not so we can help you better.
Had to have been the temperature. I'd reccomend a heater and a water thermometer.

You need to do a 25-50% water change every day depending on the size of your tank. With 7 in the tank, i'd imagine its a 10-20gallon? 10 Gallons need 50% water change every day or a filter. 20 gallons the same.
