Looks like a healthy young oscar to me. Just make sure the tank is big enough. They can be quite messy. If the water is good meaning no ammonia, nitrite, nitrate spikes, then the fish should be fine and there shouldn't be a problem with parasites, sicknesses and all that.
i think he looks good: P i have an oscar too . its kinda hard to tell cuz its just a pic. but from the pic he looks like a healthy fishy. ya just got to make sure u dont over feed them. they can eat ALOT O_O.
