My leopard pleco's spots seem to be gone sometimes when he's not moving and suddenly it brightens up when he's active.
It seem to relate to their mood. It can be a sign of stress if they stay faded all the time, but otherwise the colour change is normal. Mine will fade like that if I stare at him, then 5 mins later he's back to normal. May also be a camouflage reflex?
